Nars and Tom Ford Beauty in Singapore

According to Her World PLUS, Singapore will be welcoming Nars and Tom Ford Beauty in the last quarter of the year. [Edited to add: Nars, as well as the other counter brands, is scheduled to launch on 15 November 2012.]

These two coveted brands will be available at the Tangs Orchard beauty department which will undergo a makeover from April 2012, to mark the 80th anniversary of Tangs. The beauty lift will also see Aveda, Jo Malone, Sulwahsoo and Yves Saint Laurent* (welcome back, YSL!) gracing the ground floor of the grande dame of Orchard Road.

Beauty shopping will not be disrupted during this time as the existing brands on that level will continue to be available. Brands currently at Tangs Beauty Hall include Benefit Cosmetics, Biotherm, Burberry Beauty, By Terry, Chanel, Clé de Peau, Clarins, Clinique, Dior, Estée Lauder, Guerlain, Ipsa, Jurlique, Kiehl’s, La Mer, La Prairie, Lancôme, MAC, Ren, Shiseido/Maquillage, Shu Uemura, SK-II and Stila (the last brand soon to bid us a fond farewell at Tangs but will resurface at Sephora Singapore!).

In a surprising stroke of retail expansion, the establishment will also launch an e-store to sweeten the Tangs shopping experience. This online shopping portal will go ‘live’ in April.

2012 will certainly be a year of beauty renaissance for Singapore with the entrance of these brands, as well as the arrival (and re-appearance) of brands like Aveda, Becca, Josie Maran, Laura Mercier, Lola Cosmetics and Philosophy. I’m still waiting for Lipstick Queen to make its way here, though. ;)

Special thanks to Iris for the tip-off!

* YSL, together with Korean prestige brand Sulwahsoo, is already available at the duty-free Perfumes & Cosmetics stores at Changi Airport. Happily, Giorgio Armani Beauty will return to airport travel retail this year to join these brands!
