Described as a ‘golden pink’ on the MAC website, By Candlelight is really a beige with pink and peach tones, laced with golden shimmer that gives it a glow befitting its name.
Part of the Warm & Cozy collection (which also happens to include Embark, an eyeshadow fave), this velvety MSF is predominantly warm. Thankfully, its texture is fine enough not to be too marked in its warmth on my NC20-25 skin; making it a suitable highlighter for the cool blushes that I wear. The key is subtlety in application and a good brush that softly grazes the cheeks.
And if you are warm-toned, I highly recommend that you buy two of it – I’m certain By Candlelight (S$46) will be beautiful and visage-flattering on you! :)

It does give a lovely glow!
I’ve bought this too! But I can’t seem to photograph it properly, it turns out so beige in pictures although it looks pinkish to my eye.
Anyway, for a MSF that looks so unpigmented, it does show up pretty well when I use it as blusher. Much better than Glissade that was launched a few years back!

It can also look warm in photos. Guess it’s the camera or lighting? :P It is very pigmented!
