While I was checking out the Skin79 BB cream display at Watsons today, I happened to see the new Lúcido-L Hair Treatment Water (S$11.90). With the packaging a soothing shade of blue much like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost range, its display caught my eye.
My hair had been caught in the rain and it dried slightly frizzy while I was in an air-conditioned mall. My interest was piqued with its promises to soften hair and ease the frizzies, so I got a friend to spritz the product on me. To my pleasant surprise, my hair felt soft and pliable shortly after. I was quite thrilled because I’d resigned myself to having straggly and frizzy hair for the day, thanks to the rain. I like that the light mist made my hair feel smooth and that it’s not sticky – a good feature, considering that it’s a non-rinse product. It also has the classic floral Lúcidol-L scent that I’m familiar with.
According to the label on the bottle, this leave-in hair product not only conditions hair, it also pre-styles hair with its ingredients that include hyaluronic acid, a powerful humectant.
Known quaintly in Japlish as an ‘out of bath treatment’, there’s also an essence version (S$13.90), a serum which is better suited for dry and damaged hair.
A popular Japanese haircare brand with a vivacious image, Lúcidol-L* has made an impression on me with its light yet effective products. I’ve been using the hairspray and the waxes and like that they help to style and hold hair well without feeling gunky. Best of all, they wash out easily. :) The lightness of the Hair Treatment Water seems to live up to these characteristics!
* The ‘L’ at the end denotes ‘Ladies’ and indicates that the line caters to women. There’s also a Lúcido line for men.

I hadn’t noticed the mist at all, just the essence and if memory serves correctly, it contained alcohol pretty high on the ingredients list and that dries out my hair like crazy… :(
But this spray mist looks interesting (I’ve been using Liese’s). I’ll have to check it out – am trying to grow my hair out and can use all the taming products I can lay my hands on.

I didn’t see the ingredient list on the spray but I did see cetyl alcohol listed as an ingredient on the essence. That’s actually an emollient to seal in moisture. :)
I just bought a Lucido treatment water hair spary today.
Can anyone tell me how to use it? Like should I apply it after I wash my hair? Also it says on the bottle that it will style your after-sleep hair, what does that mean?

You can spray it on your hair after it’s been washed or on your hair when you’ve just woken up. :)

Yes, you can do that. :) I’m not sure if it should be applied to hair after styling with wax though.
