While I was at Lancôme Singapore today to preview its new foundation, Teint Miracle, I was able to see the newly-launched L’Absolu Crème de Brillance – lipglosses to complement the brand’s immensely popular L’Absolu Rouge lipstick range.
The lipgloss line-up includes:
- 06 Rose Nu
- 185 Orange Toffee
- 357 Rose Mythique
- 363 Rose Empire
- 365 Rose Absolu
- 395 Rose Grenat
These glosses contain care ingredients to hydrate and pamper lips, as well as the L’Oréal-patented Pro-Xylane™ which instantly smooths lips. The latter is an anti-ageing molecule that firms skin and stimulates cell activity. This ingredient can already be found in many products belonging to brands under the L’Oréal umbrella. Evidently, Lancôme puts thought and (skin)care into its cosmetics, double-folding the benefits to the consumer. :)
The angled sponge-tip applicator lays down colour evenly and its shape reminds me of the one on Maquillage Rouge Enamel Glamour.

Made in Japan, these classy lip lovelies contain light-reflecting pearl pigments and have a very glossy appearance. Not all are shimmery – Rose Grenat looks more satiny and I think it’d make a great everyday lip colour. They were smooth to swatch and are rather pigmented, as you can tell from the photo (I only swiped each gloss once).
Rose Absolu is the current best-seller and together with Rose Nu, has also been released as a new L’Absolu Rouge lipstick. In Singapore, each L’Absolu Crème de Brilliance lipgloss is priced at S$40, while each L’Absolu Rouge lipstick retails at S$43.
I forgot my camera, so these photos shot with my iPhone aren’t ideal. Iris, who was with me, should have better pictures of these glosses.
Beautiful colors Mag! ;)

They have a lustrous feel too! :)
