Last Christmas, Bioré sent me a surprise gift box disguised as a first-aid kit.
I wondered why it was done up as such, when I saw the tag which indicated that the contents were meant to be ‘post-party face savers’ for swift makeup removal after a night out. How creative!
Ensconced inside were Bioré Hydra-Clear Makeup Remover, Cleansing Oil Cotton Facial Sheets and Makeup Remover for Eye & Lip.
I’ve tested the Hydra-Clear and love that it leaves no residue on the skin after rinsing. I also saw it in impressive action when a geisha used it to remove the makeup on her young charge’s face; it was incredible how the thick makeup melted off easily!
I have the cleansing wipes and use them frequently (there’s a box permanently in my kit because these gentle sheets rectify boo-boos and clean dark shadow fallout in a flash), so I was glad to have yet another set of these staples.
I can’t remember if I’ve ever used the pink bottle but I look forward to giving it a go. :)
hydra clear and their cleansing oil are my staples, removes every trace of makeup very gently. Have gone through many bottles and I buy whenever they go on sale at Watsons, which is pretty often. Very economical!
Hi Jan,
They work really well, don’t they? I’m quite happy to have this trio of necessary beauty items! :)
Hey Mag,
I have the Pink one, Makeup Remover for Lip and Eye, and I really think it does a good job of taking heavy eyemakeup off – all my mascara comes of pretty easily. I didn’t have much luck with the cotton sheets though – I had to rub a little harder (maybe the mascara is too stubborn). And the pink cleanser is around SGD$10.50 in Ocean Cosmetics! :D
Hi Kas,
The sheets are a little drier but it helps to store them upside down. I find them good for quick makeup removal and to rectify mistakes but they won’t do the trick for complete cleansing.
