Lancôme 29 St. Honoré Collection for Autumn 2011 – Maison Lancôme Blush and Les Oeillades in 02 Blondette Fatale

Here’s a sneak peek at Lancôme Singapore’s concise collection for Fall 2011.

Named after the address of Lancôme’s headquarters in Paris (29, rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, 75008 Paris), the collection is the creation of Aaron de Mey, the artistic director of the brand. It pays homage to the timelessness of Parisian chic and elegance, as well as the discerning French women (‘les femmes en vogue’) who patronise the establishment.

Indubitably the pièce de résistance of this collection, the stunning Maison Lancôme Gentle and Long Lasting Powder Blusher (S$70) is both a blush and a highlighter.

A pleasing combination of pretty pinks with a touch of beige and sparkling gold, it’d take a lot for me to put brush to compact, given how beautiful the pan is!

The whimsical print with the Lancôme rose in the window and the Eiffel Tower in the background is based on a sketch of the Lancôme boutique, which happens to be a stone’s throw from Élysée Palace, the office of the French President.

Also part of the collection is the very wearable Les Oeillades Versatile Palette for Eyes and Brows in 02 Blondette Fatale.

A neutral quad, this easy-to-wear palette will surely appeal to the Singapore Lancôme clientèle who have a penchant for safe and office-friendly hues.

The collection will also include one lipstick, Le French Touch Absolu Lip Colour in Rouge 29 (S$65), a vibrant red. I was hoping that the brand would bring in 102 Saint Honoré, which has a deeper tone. Unfortunately, this, together with other products in the collection (a black/grey/white quad, another red lipstick and two nail varnishes in a deep red and black), will not be making its way to Singapore.

If you read French, Planète Beauté has a wonderful write-up on this collection.

Set to launch in Singapore in September 2011, this limited edition collection will only be available at Tangs (Orchard and Vivocity) and Robinsons (Centrepoint and Raffles City), due to the limited quantities of the items – I wasn’t even able to swatch the palettes above because the brand has to keep them pristine for the upcoming press launch!
