This week, the Shu Uemura standalone store at Ion Orchard celebrates its second anniversary. Has it been that long? I go to Ion very often but the store still feels new to me! I remember the thrill of visiting and purchasing from the first Shu Uemura beauty boutique located at the now-defunct Scotts Shopping Centre; the brand has certainly come a long way since then.
To mark this special occasion, the boutique at Ion will be demonstrating various makeup looks and offering a 10% discount on all products, from 21 to 24 July.
In addition, customers with purchases of S$200 and above will be able to personalise their Shu Uemura Color Atelier quad palettes by having them engraved at the store. A clever and memorable way to celebrate the event indeed!
I was at the anniversary party yesterday and part of the festivities included a makeup demonstration by Shu Uemura elite makeup artist, Maz, using City Allure, the beautiful and versatile palette created by local makeup maestro, Clarence Lee.
The beauty stars were, of course, the new Tokyo Lash Bar 2011 Ethnocolor Scope eyelashes and the Color Atelier collection.
Here are Sophia, Ms Glitzy, Chantana, Kas, Sara and I, together with the inimitable Clarence Lee…and someone very special in the baby sling! ;)
All of you look great in the group photo! And you have that lovely glow on your cheeks :) So sorry that I had to give this a miss!
Hey Iris,
Thank you! It’s a combination of MAC Porcelain Pink, Etude Marbleade in 03 and Tony Moly Pure Cocktail. I like using a mix for more dimension. We missed you!

Hey Jo,
That’s the discontinued Maya Wrap! Learnt from Pearline (bbs&c) that they’ve discontinued the woven wrap. I know the steel rings were replaced with nylon ones but had no idea they stopped producing this beautiful fabric too. :(
The sling is a life-saver! :)
Aww you look fab post-birth and kisses to baby for being an angel at the event. :)
Thank you, Seishouai! :)
