Clinique Black Honey Collection – The New Black for Fall 2011

Although it is a shame that the popular Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey isn’t available in Singapore, makeup lovers will be happy to know that a sheerer gloss-balm in that berried hue is part of the limited edition Black Honey collection that has just been launched here.

Here are the prices of the products in this concise collection:

• Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss in Black Honey (S$26)
• Color Surge Eye Shadow Quad in Black Honey (S$57)
• Gradient Powder Blusher in Black Honey (S$53)

I saw the Brush-On Cream Liner in Black Honey (S$34) on display too, at the local Clinique counters.

In the US, the collection also includes a nifty dual-ended lip product – Lipgloss/Lipstick Duo (Long Last Glosswear SPF 15/Almost Lipstick) in Black Honey. Like the original lipstick, this isn’t available here either, unfortunately.

It’s ironic that this collection which centres on this blackened raisin lipstick doesn’t carry the very lippy itself. Why Clinique Singapore doesn’t have it as part of its regular line-up here eludes me, especially given that the wearable sheer berry shade is marketed as a versatile, universal colour!
