Kiehl’s + Kenny Scharf Holiday 2012 Creme de Corps Collection for the Autism Association (Singapore)

This festive season, the philanthropic tradition of Kiehl’s continues with the brand’s limited edition Creme de Corps collection for Holiday 2012.

Designed by well-known New York pop artist Kenny Scharf, 100% of the proceeds from this collection will benefit more than 40 children’s causes around the world. In Singapore, the sales from these special pieces will go to the Autism Association (Singapore).

One of the brand’s top-sellers, Creme de Corps (S$40-S$100) is considered the most hydrating body moisturiser in the Kiehl’s line, thanks to its skin-nourishing ingredients.

The collection also includes Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter (S$75), a light and airy hydrating cream.

Customised for Kiehl’s, the products feature Scharf’s colourful work, Globomundo, which the artist describes as “representing the whole world or globe”.

A master of pop surrealism, Scharf was a contemporary of Andy Warhol and a good friend of Keith Haring.

Trivia: Andy Warhol regularly purchased Kiehl’s Blue Astringent and was a frequent visitor to the Kiehl’s East Village flagship apothecary which was only blocks away from his Greenwich Village Factory.

More trivia: Scharf created album covers for American rock band The B-52’s in the mid-’80s. ;)
