Shiseido Maquillage Aura Veil Collection for Holiday 2012

This holiday season, Shiseido Maquillage presents the Aura Veil Collection.

The box seems unassuming at first glance but it opens up to reveal 3 classy products ensconced within.

In this lovely trove are:

ღ Maquillage Aura Veil Compact

A translucent powder compact with 7 colours.

ღ Maquillage Aura Veil Fragrance

A light sweet perfume that also scents the compact. The brand recommends that you mist this subtle floral fruity fragrance over your hair, face and body.

ღ Maquillage True Rouge Mini Lip Palette

A credit card-sized compact containing 3 best-selling Maquillage True Rouge lipsticks – RD352, BE748 and PK364.

The highlight of the set is indubitably the face compact.

The seven colours each fulfills a function:

White: Brightens up

Beige: Covers redness and blemishes

Violet: Covers yellowish dullness

Green: Covers redness and dullness

Pink: Adds a soft, healthy glow to your skin

Orange: Energizes your complexion

Cream Yellow: Covers redness and dullness

You can use them alone or together on different parts of the face.

Here’s a visual comparison with the compact in last year’s Maquillage Aura Beauty Set. Although the original compact is larger, the colours are exactly the same, only this year’s pan is raised and bears the letters of the brand.

Besides the difference in size, the larger compact came with a manual grinder (not included in this year’s set).

The grinder works to turn the compact into a loose powder for a softer touch.
