Here are 2 terrific teals from Lancôme and Make Up Store, each a highlight in their brand’s Spring 2013 collection.
From the sweetly feminine Lancôme in Love collection, Jade Crush leans towards turquoise. Featured in the colourful Make Up Store Cocktail collection, Ocean Breeze veers more blue.
The Lancôme liner has an intense velvety matte texture, while the Make Up Store pencil has a shimmery finish. Both last fairly long on the eyes, the Lancôme holding out better.
I think they make a nice pair, either as a shadow/liner blend or used separately on the top and bottom lash lines. They are striking enough without being too over-the-top and offer a pop of colour that’s both trendy and refreshing.
I’m not sure if they’re here to stay – I’m fairly certain they’re limited edition – so if you have a penchant for teals or would like to venture into this blue-green zone, it’s best to purchase them as soon as you can. Have fun exploring these pretty pencils!
Thanks for the comparison, I would pick the Lancôme version just because I like the look of a matte teal better. It is an easy way to add fun into my makeup routine.
Hi Jac,
It’ll look good with the warmer shades you favour! :)
