I’m not sure if the Nars Satin Lip Pencil frenzy has died down yet but I’m still enjoying these chubby lip crayons.
The latest addition to my collection, Jardin Des Plantes is an exclusive that’s only found on the Nars website and at Nars boutiques. Thanks to a kind friend who snapped up the last piece at the brand’s flagship Bleeker store (fondly known as 413 BLKR), I now own this gorgeous lip pencil.
A pigmented deep fuchsia with cool rose tones, this visage-brightening colour has the striking quality of Yu, without the startling effect of the latter – it’s certainly less loud and easier to wear.
Like the other pencils in the range, it lines the lips fully and precisely, gliding on with a buttery texture. It also has a glossy sheen that makes the lips look dewy. If you enjoy vibrant cool pinks, this would be a lovely addition to your stash.
In the States, it retails at US$25.
I wanted this colour too! Too bad they don’t sell it at the counters here. It looks so nice on you Mag. Is it me or do you find the counter staff a little standoffish?
Hi Jac,
It’s still available online, I believe. Hope you manage to find it somehow. I love it!
Re: the counter staff – yes, there’s been feedback regarding this and the brand is looking into the matter (just spoke to them about it and they’re very concerned, naturally). I hope the service has improved since. After all, it’s only to their detriment should customers choose to purchase elsewhere because of their negative attitude.
Such a beautiful pink! Actually, it reminds me a little of LUSH’s Passionate Emotional Brilliance. Just a little!
Thanks, Sara!
I don’t know how that one looks but I love this shade – it’s brightening without being glaring *coughYUcough* (which you know I like but it’s not the same, heh! ;)).
