Here’s a quick overview of what’s available at the Shiseido sale happening today and tomorrow.
It’s a good buffet of beauty products this time round, with a plethora of offerings from the Shiseido family brands.
Luxury buys from Clé de Peau include eyeshadows and lipsticks (both S$30 onwards). I recommend that you take a look at the lustrous Lip Luminizer (S$60; the refill bullet alone is S$30) and the creamy Extra Rich Lipsticks (S$40).
Don’t miss out on these magnificent Luminizing Face Enhancers (S$60; S$45 for the refill pan). They’re originally S$140, if I recall correctly. I love No. 11 Pastel (the blue/lavender/cream one) and highly recommend it, if you love illuminators like I do.
Also on offer is Clé de Peau Holiday 2012 Palette de Voyage (S$150). A comprehensive coffret with products for the brows, eyes, lips and cheeks, this set originally retailed at S$260.
Those are excellent prices but the best beauty bargain for the luxe brand has to be the Clé de Peau Beauté Synactif Coffret (S$180). Comprising a cleansing soap, day and night moisturisers, an intensive cream, sheet masks and the embossed double-stitched cotton pads from the brand, this set originally retailed at S$480! (Yes, I’m regretting not purchasing this.)
For something gentler on the wallet, Ettusais also has a nice range of products on sale at the event. They include: Liquid Eyeliner in Brown (S$12), Jelly Gloss (S$12), Lip Color N (S$15), Lip Essence x Sanrio Little Twin Stars (S$15), Cheek Color in BE2 (S$15), Gel Top Coat N (S$10), Aqua Splash (S$12/S$15) and Shower Cologne in Berry (S$10).
Maquillage has a considerable offering of powder foundations, lipsticks, lipglosses, polishes and eyeshadows. These Maquillage Styling Eyes palettes (S$30 or S$35) are quite lovely for everyday wear.
What you should be looking out for, though, is the Maquillage Aura Beauty set (S$70). The gorgeous floral-scented multi-coloured compact powder, encased in a bejewelled case, has some lovely companions: a four-sided fold-out mirror, a deluxe-sized face brush and a grinder that turns the powder into loose form. Originally priced at S$140, the set also includes a velvet pouch adorned with crystals.
And we mustn’t forget Nars. A veritable makeup feast, the sale items include nail polishes (S$15), eyeshadow singles (S$20), eyeshadow duos (S$30), lipglosses (S$20; Larger Than Life ones are S$25), blushes (S$25 or S$30) and Highlighting/Bronzing Blush Duo in Hungry Heart (S$30).
Also available are some sets from last year’s Nars Andy Warhol Holiday 2012 Collection: Photobooth (S$20), Beautiful Darling (S$30), Silver Factory (S$100) and the Self Portrait Palettes (S$30).
Look out for NARSskin (S$30-S$45) too, with several products around 50% off. Considering that Luminous Moisture Cream – the most expensive product in the hydrating range – retails at S$105, you’re getting value for money.
The most notable makeup item from Shiseido at the sale is the Shiseido Camellia Compact (S$25). This striking face colour trio was sold out quite quickly, so it was a pleasant surprise to see it appear at the sale. A steal, considering it was S$60.
Lipsticks are S$20, though they’re mostly discounted pieces from the Perfect Rouge and Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer range. I was told that loyal fans of certain shades count on the sale to replenish their favourite colours!
Also available are items from Za and Majolica Majolica (I spotted The Little Humming Book I), skincare sets across the brands, as well as haircare products (shampoo+conditioner, styling products and hairloss serums/sets). Pouches, mirrors and various gifts with purchase were for sale too. Unfortunately, the pink Ettusais luggage that was a gwp for 2011 was already out of stock by the time I attended the sale preview. I saw someone purchasing it at the cashier – it was only S$20!
I eventually left the sale with shampoo sets for my hubby, Clé de Peau Lip Luminizer in 216 for my mother-in-law, NARSskin Total Replenishing Eye Cream and Nars Nail Polish in Tokyo Rain and Chinatown. :)
The sale event will be held on 13 and 14 December 2013, at the Shiseido office (Level 12, Orchard Building next to H&M). The sale will start at 10 am on both days but will end at 8 pm on Friday and at 6 pm on Saturday.
♥ Happy shopping! ♥
Thanks for the detailed post!
