While shopping yesterday, I wandered into Kiehl’s at Tangs Orchard yesterday and learnt quite a bit about the brand’s latest activities.
The first is a meaningful campaign: Beginning this month, Kiehl’s Singapore will donate S$5 to Action for AIDS (AfA) for every bottle of Special Edition Midnight Recovery Concentrate (S$80) sold. As a token of appreciation, each customer who purchases this limited edition MRC bottle will receive a limited edition key charm.
The money will go towards the AfA Pregnant Mothers’ Fund which prevents mother-to-child transmission of HIV and helps diagnosed HIV-positive children to seek medical treatment. The face of this campaign is singer-songwriter Alicia Keys.
The second is the Kiehl’s membership program…I’d no idea it was an ongoing thing, despite having bought several Kiehl’s products over the years! It’s quite a good one: Simply purchase S$120 worth of products in a single visit and you will receive two travel-sized products of your choice, along with a welcome gift (the current one is a useful 2014 organiser with illustrations of things related to the brand, including their mascot, Mr Bones).
For every S$1 that you spend in a year, you will receive 1 point. Accumulate 50 points and you will be given S$50 to offset your next Kiehl’s purchase. It’s quite a nice way to treat their customers and more generous than the membership programs of some brands I know.
I also spotted the holiday pouch and bag gwps – the zippered case is free with S$120 spent, while the bag will be given in addition to that when you spend S$200 and above.
The limited edition festive gift packaging designed by graffiti artist Eric Haze is still available too, so why not have your products packed in these vibrant bags/boxes? Trivia: He’s done artwork for Nike and MTV. ;)
If you’re wondering about the serum, you can read my review of it here. Do note that its price has since been reduced by S$10 (it used to be S$90)…yet another reason to give it a go!
PS: To stretch your $, shop at Kiehl’s Tangs Orchard to receive the Tangs card rebate. Do look out for Kenneth, whose clear explanations and patience in answering all my questions made an impression on me. :)
