This Lunar New Year, SK-II has released yet another commemorative bottle of Facial Treatment Essence, the celebrated centrepiece of the SK-II series.
Inspired by the traditional Chinese character for “dream” (夢), the brand has emblazoned the box with the same word in contemporary Chinese calligraphy, in praise of modern women who pursue their dreams.
There’s also a puppy on the packaging, the canine illustration an allusion to our furry friend’s turn to shine on the Chinese zodiac this year. 🐕
Even more distinctive is the familiar flaçon dressed in a resplendent red, its crimson tone reminding me of the ubiquitous red packets given out for good luck during the Chinese New Year.
The first completely opaque FTE bottle among SK-II’s bevy of special-edition festive designs, it is a visual exhortation by the brand to boldly begin the year with a bang.
Beloved for its radiance-revealing properties, this product contains Pitera: a yeast-derived ingredient that boosts exfoliation and restores moisture, conditioning the skin to maintain its natural functions.
