According to Essential Beauty Supplies:
The Fiber Optic Blush brush has super soft, feather-like white hairs that come out of the brush past the black hairs. They are NOT densely packed which means that you can now apply your blush with the softest touch! It makes those dark pigmented blushes go on sheer without streaking or looking harsh! Perfect for those beautiful red blushes you may have been afraid to wear in the past! The overall length of the fiber optic is 4″. The bristles are 1 5/8″ long and about 1 1/4″ wide.
Everything that EBS says about this brush is true. When I first received this, I was a little surprised by how small it looked and how light it felt. My initial misgivings were immediately dispelled when I laid brush to skin. Oh, the softness!
For under US$10, you will receive a petite brush with amazingly soft bristles that grazes your blushes to deposit gentle colour onto your cheeks. I love how comfortable this feels on my skin (it is not scratchy at all) and how it is able to soften and blend out cheek colour beautifully. I especially like using this with the little blush pans of Canmake Cheek & Highlight, as well as baked blushes/highlighters such as MAC Mineralize Skinfinishes (MSFs).
This fibre optic brush is quite different from the MAC 187, appearance and length aside. Its bristles are not as packed and the head of bristles is not as wide as the 187’s, allowing specific highlighting. I typically apply a highlighter shade over the cheekbones using this brush, blending it into and over cheek colour.
The ease of use and lightness of this handy little brush will see you through many blush doses and overdoses.
