All the rage now with the younger set, these coiled hair ties are a true novelty. Fused at the ends to make a ring, the plastic coils are reminiscent of telephone cords (or wires, as some of the older generation would call them). The person who thought of them is a genius. Who would’ve imagined that something this functional could be so trendy?
I like their cheerful range of colours, as well as their ability to grasp hair in a more stylish manner than regular elastic bands and scrunchies – their smooth but serrated edges give bound hair a touch of interest.
They hold tresses well for a decent period of time but will lose their elasticity after extended use. With prices that range from S$1 for one to S$2 for four, you can easily find them at most local shops that carry hair accessories. I bought mine from Livia & Sheen located at Square 2.
lol! i have been using this for months! very handy and cheap~
and available in a wide range of colours~ :D
They’re very cute, Plue!
wow they actually look like they hurt!! but they are fun colors
Hi BB,
They’re fun to use. They don’t snag badly but scrunchies are still more hair-friendly.
i got mine from SINMA @ Tampines
its so Cute!!!
Hi Vival,
They are cute. There are metallic ones too. ;)
Hi! I’m looking for hair ties that don’t leave dents in my hair cos my hair is rebonded & I’m really afraid of dents… Do these work? Or Twistband? Thanks in advance!
Hi Bell,
These will leave dents. You’re better off using Twistbands (I use them on my rebonded hair). :)
