New local e-tailer Soap ‘n Sorbet recently launched its online store, bringing in cult bath and beauty brands that were once unavailable here.
As the first official distributor of Steam Cream in Singapore, Soap ‘n Sorbet is offering this popular multi-purpose moisturiser in a number of whimsically-designed tins. With its debut here, local fans no longer need to rely on unwieldy sprees and extended waiting times. ;) £9.95 for 75 g in the UK, each tin of Steam Cream is S$26 at Soap ‘n Sorbet. Factor in shipping and this price seems reasonable.
In addition, the e-store has brought in select items from Tokyo Milk, an edgy brand that awakes the aesthetic senses with its evocative images and trendy feel. I love its packaging which conveys old-world charm yet has a distinct wisp of modern flair. I particularly like its type-written labels – traces of the past made new.
Choice products from LaLicious, Love & Toast and Nostalgia Organics are also available, rounding off a selection of skin-pampering luxuries in classy packaging.
All these cult brands are a welcome addition to the beauty retail scene. I am charmed by their tasteful concept that combines quaint vintage elements with delicate and often cheerful images. :)
Not only does the website design of Soap ‘n Sorbet reflect the delightful quality of the products it carries, the clean layout makes for easy navigation and a smooth browsing experience. I thought the alliterative name was quite cute, reminding one of sweet bath and body goodies.
Register as a member during the launch period to receive a 10% discount promotional code that can be applied on all regular-price items. Everyone who registers on the site will be automatically entered in a lucky draw (one prize a week for four consecutive weekends starting from 13 December 2009). No purchase is necessary to be eligible for the draw. To be updated on the store’s events and promotions, join their Facebook page.
Look out for a Soap ‘n Sorbet giveaway coming very soon on Makeup Stash! :)

Hi UptownGal!
I know what you mean. It would be awesome. Sephora has arrived, so who knows? I wasn’t aware that BBW was available at Watsons! I’ve only seen VS bath and body items. I shall have to keep my eyes peeled now.
Love love love Tokyo Milk.
Hi Ann,
Their items look absolutely exquisite.
Hey Mag,
Someone is using your content and posting it on her blog. I don’t know if she has your permission or not, but in case she doesn’t:

hi mag,
what’s so great about steam cream? :)
Hi Jo!
I haven’t used mine but its production method apparently increases its absorption efficacy. Here’s a link to the info on the brand site: http://www.steamcream.eu/why-steam-753-0.html :)
