Dear Iris surprised me with this pretty lipstick earlier this year. As soon as I laid my eyes on it, I was thrilled by the red packaging. A metallic ruby, the casing has a little secret:
A cap that springs open to reveal a mirror! Genius. With an exhortation to ‘lust often, love always’, this chic beauty gadget slides smoothly in and out of the lipstick base.
Gracefully is a sheer rose pink with hints of multi-coloured micro-shimmer. On its own, it is a tad clear for me. As such, I pair it with darker lip products to give them a tinge of complexity.
It seems to be a subtler version of Dianne Brill Lip Lingerie in Mermaid Bustier, a pink lipgloss with multi-coloured shimmer (its reflective green shimmer is more prominent than the other shades though).
Here is Gracefully with the very purple Illasmaqua Lip Gloss in Tantrum over it. Not only does it tame the latter by making it less purple, it also gives a hint of beautifully-coloured shimmer. Like the Dianne Brill gloss, the green in the shimmer seems to show up more obviously.

I love the scarlet packaging, but like you, I found the lipstick shade a tad too pale for my liking. Will try it topped with a darker lipgloss!
