Biyou Collagen 美肌力 is the latest collagen drink to enter our local beauty market. According to the brand’s Facebook page, the name means ‘beautiful face’ in Japanese, while the phrase ‘美肌力’ means the strength/power of beautiful skin. Incidentally, it also means the same in the Chinese language.
Although this muscat-flavoured drink contains the usual fish collagen peptides, Vitamin C and other skin-enriching ingredients (among others, hyaluronic acid and conenzyme Q10), what sets this Japanese skin drink apart is the inclusion of Marine Placenta, a patented ingredient derived from the ovarian membrane of Hokkaido salmon, that stimulates cell renewal. Harvested during autumn, this substance improves oxygen supply to the skin and helps blood circulation too, according to the brand’s research results. Furthermore, studies in Japan have apparently shown anti-aging effects after a six-month intake of this collagen drink.
Exclusively available at selected Watsons stores, Biyou Collagen Drink is sold in boxes of six 50 ml bottles for S$39.90.
To find out more about the drink, visit the Biyou booth for a free tasting at Watsons Ngee Ann City from 25 to 31 March 2010. The brand will be holding a roadshow at Tampines Mall from 29 March to 4 April 2010 as well.

My friend got me one of these to try and its a shame because I cannot get them here unless I go back to h.k.
Hi Lisa,
You’ll need to stock up on them when you travel there next time. :)
Have you tried them? Do you think they work?
Hi Cass,
I haven’t tried this brand or others, really. I’ve only ever drunk a sachet of Meiji Amino Collagen but that one pack couldn’t possibly work miracles. :P I know people who swear by collagen drinks and others for whom they do nothing.
