A Mini Shu Uemura Haul – Pressed Eye Shadow in ME Black 990 and Deepsea Water in Mint Mist

Determined not to let my vouchers from the Tangs recycling program go to waste, I ended up purchasing two Shu Uemura items at the end of May. I don’t know why but I always seem to use these vouchers on Shu products (see ME Blue 640 and G White Rainbow)! :P

ME Black 990 (S$36) is a stunning brown black with pewter tones. I’d classify it as a brown although the Shu people are adamant that it is a black. Despite its finish being described as metallic, it has more of a subtle sheen than a truly reflective appearance. Even so, the glimmer adds beautiful dimension to the rich tones of this special hue.

Deepsea Water in Mint Mist (S$39) is a refreshing facial mist, thanks to its herbaceous mint note. It not only lifts my mood and invigorates my skin with just a couple of spritzes, it is also surprisingly soothing.
