Last week, the good people of Anna Sui Singapore treated my friends and me to an evening of beauty, canapés and drinks at Yin Yang Rooftop Bar at The Club Hotel.
Among other things, we chatted about Anna Sui fashion accessories (fingers crossed for them to make it here), the beauty trade and of course, Anna Sui plans for the future – double-ended pencils marrying makeup with beauty tech, gorgeous glosses for Spring 2011 and a caged Flight of Fancy fragrance in time for Valentine’s Day! ♥
As I’d never been to Club Hotel before, I was quite taken with its design. Curves and unexpected corners, together with whimsical artistic touches, give this modern boutique hotel an air of quaintness.
Going up the stairs to Ying Yang was slightly harrowing with the alternating black and white exposed steps!
Like the hotel, Ying Yang has the same clean aesthetics. Overlooking Chinatown, this chill-out hangout is relatively new to the Singapore night scene.
Naturally, the highlight of the evening was the limited edition Anna Sui Rockin’ Wonderland Holiday Collection 2010. As with the Anna Sui Autumn 2010 makeup party, the beauty products took precedence for a while! ;)
The beauty chit-chat was lovely, as was the food.
Iris and Chantana were present…
As were Sesame, Kas and Sophia!
Kas, Iris and I later adjourned to Starbucks where we celebrated Iris’s birthday with lots of laughter! ;)
Very make-shift candle for Iris’s cake I see! haha, so cute.
Hi Sara,
Yep, I just plonked the stirrer into her slice of cake and Kas and I started to whisper-sing ‘Happy Birthday to you’ to her, so as not to embarrass her (too much)~! Haha!
wow…it’s really so ‘yin-yang’ as in black and white :)
Hi Nora,
Exactly! The steps were a little disconcerting but the overall décor was ok, not too overwhelming. :D
Your blogger events are so cool, how amazing is it to test the latest Anna Sui products on a rooftop with a beautiful view over Singapore? And the food looks so delicious as well!
Hi Anna,
It was a lovely evening. :)
