Clarins White Plus HP

New to the Clarins whitening skincare family is the Clarins White Plus HP range (‘HP’ stands for ‘high performance’).

Among other natural skin-loving ingredients such as raspberry, grapefruit and strawberry, the line contains sea lily extract which suppresses melanin production while soothing the skin. The particular blossom that Clarins uses grows in a secluded area off the coast of Brittany, France.

The new White Plus HP Whitening Repair Night Cream also contains daisy extract which slows down the distribution of melanin to the skin’s surface, inhibiting hyper-pigmentation at night, calming the skin at the same time. According to Clarins, daisies (also known as bellis perennis – ‘beautiful always’) and rainwater were used as skincare in medieval times. :)

Together, these two special flowers form Clarins’s Dual Repair Whitening System.

This amped-up range is complementary to the brand’s existing whitening products.

For ‘instant smoothness’, Clarins recommends using the White Plus HP Gentle Brightening Exfoliator (a delightful fruit-scented facial scrub with lovely scrubby bits) after the White Plus HP Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel (a softening lotion that preps the skin for the exfoliator).

For an ‘unbelievable glow’, the brand recommends using the White Plus HP Intensive Whitening Smoothing Serum, followed by the White Plus HP Whitening Repair Night Cream.

To try the last two products, do visit the Clarins counter to receive free samples of them.

In addition, you can find out more about  this whitening range when you book a complimentary session of Clarins Skin Time: 30 minutes for a quick but relaxing facial or 15 minutes for a hand/arm-pampering session.

I was able to experience a 30-minute facial, where the Clarins beauty specialist patiently explained every single product she’d used on me. During the personal consultation, I was also allowed to touch, smell and try the products – something I appreciated and enjoyed. The best thing? The session is free and comes with no strings attached. You’ll even get to take home a free trial supply of products suited to your skin! ;)

I have my own set of morning ritual and adding another product sounds like a chore. But I would love to try the Whitening repairing night cream. My night routine is much shorter as I cut a few steps. Heh.

I want to try that brightening peel toner/softener. This range sounds really promising. I’ve always been buying Clarins but more for others than myself. :)

      Hey Farah,

Snag some samples first? I like the feel of this range. Clarins is a good skincare brand; hard to go wrong with it! :)

Thanks for the review….I love the Clarins concept of natural plant ingredients, but unfortunately they are too strongly scented for me! I prefer Shiseido White Lucent though it is quite $$$. I still stick to drugstore skincare :)

I finally gave the white plus range a try after going for Clarins skin time. I could see a big difference in my skin after using the samples for a week or so. I especially like the serum and the day lotion. I’m a new convert :-)

If you are curious about the brand, I highly recommend Skin Time. I really enjoyed the session and generous samples.
