Earthy, intense and lasting, this metallic cream eyeshadow is well-named after that famous civilisation!
A generous birthday gift from my beauty buddy, Iris, I was taken immediately with the matte, brushed texture of the sleek rectangular tube and the classily-embossed wording of the brand’s name.
A complex chocolate bronze with warm shimmer strewn through, the cream shadow has a consistency reminiscent of Beauté de Kosé Eye Fantasists, sans the sparkles inherent in the latter. Like the Kosé shadows, this water-resistant offering from Guerlain wears well and lasts on the eye.
Maya is perfect as a base for/to amp up neutral tones – I can see myself using it often with the very popular Lunasol Lighting for Eyes in Neutral quad.
Thank you, dear Iris, for such a special makeup gift!
Hi Mag. How would this product fare on oily eyelids? Love the strong color and consistency. Thanks! :-)
Hi Milktea,
I don’t have very oily lids but I can tell you that it lasts fairly long on my skin!
It looks really nice! I was so tempted by them too but I told myself I shouldn’t – then again, i tell myself I shouldnt all the time, and then go right ahead *innocent wide-eyed expression*
Hey Kas,
I think this will pair nicely with your virgin Lunasol palette. *evil grin*
