Always a forerunner in makeup and skincare technology, Lancôme has incorporated its know-how on cell regeneration into its latest mascara, Hypnôse Precious Cells (S$50).
Lancôme Virtuôse Precious Cells and Hypnôse Precious Cells Comparison
Differentiating itself from Virtuôse Precious Cells which focuses on curling, Hynôse Precious Cells concentrates on imparting volume. Both mascaras, developed with the same stem cell technology as Lancôme’s Absolue Precious Cells skincare line, promise to lengthen and protect lashes, while encouraging lash growth.
The key ingredients in Hypnôse Precious Cells include:
- Lash Densifier Complex which is made up of a plant cell extract – already present in the cream formula of Absolue Precious Cells – which is capable of restoring the environment of stem cells in the lashes within the follicle. This extract comes from a rare Swiss apple variety, Uttwiler Spatlauber, which has the ability to last for months after being picked from the tree; its longevity attributed to its unusually resilient stem cells.
- Madecassoside, a fortifying ingredient commonly used in hairloss products to strengthen and thicken hair.
- Arginine, an amino acid to stimulate micro-circulation of nutrients within lash follicles.
- Hyaluronic Acid, to impart a lash-plumping effect.
Made in France and developed exclusively for Asian lashes, the brush has a unique helix-shaped structure with two flat sections to capture the mascara cream and two structured ridges to separate, lengthen and add volume to lashes. I was told by Lancôme Singapore that the smudge-resistant formula is easily removed using warm water.
According to the brand, women who’ve tried the mascara have seen visible regeneration of their lashes. It has also received a number of positive reviews on Makeup Alley. I haven’t tried my press sample of this mascara yet but am looking forward to using it, thanks to its spectacular promises – my pitiful lashes could surely use the boost! ;)
