Canmake Singapore recently sent me this trio of cream shadows to try. Pictured are: Canmake Moist Souffle Shadows in 01 Cream Pink, 02 Mocha Brown and 03 Honey Gold.
They have a lovely bounce and soft smoothness – the silken surface (more mousse than soufflé) is a joy to touch – but they are very emollient and as you might expect, not smudge-proof at all.
They blend out fairly well and do have pretty sparkles dispersed within them but they will certainly need an eyeshadow base to last. I’d recommend them as layering shadows to add translucent twinkle to an eye look.
The plastic packaging is a little dinky and they’re quite tiny for S$19.90. They are fun to play with but I find their price tag eyebrow-raising, considering their petite size and poor lasting power.
Here’s what the brand has to say about them. They do sound lovely when described as such but they will crease and badly, at that. I haven’t tried them on the lower lids, though. Perhaps they might just last there, as the brand suggests, as that area tends to be drier than the upper lids.
