An understated flesh-toned matte shadow, Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Eye Shadow in Sandstone is a straightforward but useful neutral.
Part of the new eyeshadow range from the brand, it approximates my skin tone so closely that you can barely see its swatch.
Though it’s not particularly striking, I appreciate this press piece – I like how its unobtrusive nature allows other colours to take centrestage, while adding a subtle polished finish to an eye look. Not only can it be used to prep the eye for other shades to go on, it can also be used on its own to even out the skin tone of the eye area.
The Art Deco-inspired packaging is pretty chic: A slightly hefty gold-bordered silver compact, in the centre of which is the brand’s iconic Red Door insignia.
The eyeshadow itself is embossed with the same simple EA emblem.

Love the ‘Red Door’ stamp on the shadow! This would be a lovely neutral to own.
