Sleek MakeUP Sparkle 2 i-Divine Palette for Holiday 2012

November 28, 2012

Here are swatches of the new Sleek Sparkle 2 i-Divine Palette, the brand’s offering for Holiday 2012.

I was quite taken with my press sample when I first laid eyes on it – the palette is a beauty at first glance, the glitter in the pans twinkling merrily under the lights.

Sparkle 2 i-Divine includes 12 shades, with four shimmer shades in gold, silver, copper and deep bronze to leave a glowing finish for day time eyes.

Step up the look at night with eight glitter infused shades, a festive blend of deep royal blues, precious purples, fern greens and burgundys, with gun metal greys and an icy black for extra depth.

Unlike last year’s predominantly smokey combination, this year’s palette has a nice mix of colours ranging from dark to mid-toned to bright.

In it are:

  • Chocolate Penny
  • Blue Spruce
  • Mulled Wine
  • Truffle
  • Mistletoe
  • Illusion
  • Festive
  • Gold Ribbon
  • Glitz & Glamour
  • Tinsel
  • Twinkle
  • Starry Night

Swatched dry, they vary in colour payoff, as you can see. The glitter, though eye-catching in the pans, is quite extraneous as it tends to fall out and go on unevenly.

Over a good eyeshadow base, the colours pop easily. (I used Make Up For Ever Eye Prime for the swatches above.)

This limited edition palette retails at £7.99/US$9.99 and will be available on the Sleek website from 3 December 2012 and will launch 2 days later at Superdrug stores in the UK.
