This pretty palette of neutrals stands out for its delightful sparkles – I like how the refined quality of the micro-glitter lifts the otherwise-ordinary colours to new heights.
I’d called it a quad of wearable neutrals when I first posted a photo of it on Instagram but now realise ‘wearable’ is subjective – those of you leery of twinkly shadows might not find this suitable but if you love those, you will probably fall in love with this it. :)
It’s reminiscent of the Bobbi Brown Black Ruby Sparkle Palette from a couple of years back, thanks to its intense light-catching effect. I love that palette and was thrilled to see the same sparkly levels in the Tom Ford quad.
In it are an iridescent shell pink, a glittery warm rose, a glittery cool taupe and a satiny chocolate plum with cool rose flecks. All four are beautifully complementary, with different textures to add dimension. I especially love the translucency of the middle 2 shades, as well as their ultra-smooth, gel-like texture (they’re powders, though).
Here’s a simple eye look with all the colours.
And here’s a close up, so you can see how those delectable sparkles twinkle! (click to enlarge)
Like Lavender Lust, this limited edition palette is Asia-exclusive. In Singapore it retails at S$100. Thus far, I’ve had good experiences with the Tom Ford eyeshadow palettes. Despite their hefty price tag, I can’t wait to purchase my next one (it’s most likely going to be Burnished Amber). Thank goodness for Tangs rebates, is all I’m saying! ;)
