Whilst in town, I happened to see the hoarding for the Illamasqua store located at Ngee Ann City.
Strategically situated near the Basement 1 walkway link to Wisma Atria, it’s opposite Aveda and next to a Scotch & Soda boutique that’s also opening here soon. I’m not sure if it’s a standalone store, given the design of the hoarding—it could well be within the premises of the Dutch fashion label—but I don’t think the two brands are related.
I’ve seen the Illamasqua boutique at CentralWorld in Bangkok and wonder if this new one is anything like it in terms of dramatic flair.
The brand has been extremely quiet ever since launching at Robinsons Orchard in 2013, so it was a surprise to see a store in the works.
Good to know they’re still around…though I wonder how they’d fare with this new boutique, given the benefits of periodic discounts and free international shipping (on orders over £50) from shopping with the brand online. That said, it’ll be worth your while grabbing the nail polishes since these have a shipping surcharge imposed on them regardless of how much you spend online. ;)
