I was recently introduced to the L’Oréal Keratin Smooth 72H haircare range, with its micro-keratin technology that promises to strengthen hair by filling in minuscule irregularities in the hair shaft, polishing each strand fibre by fibre.
In addition to this new tech, the products also contain the softening ingredient of camellia oil which keeps hair frizz-free and silky-smooth.
In the range are:
- L’Oréal Keratin Smooth Shampoo (650 ml/ S$13.90; 330 ml/ S$9.90)
- L’Oréal Keratin Smooth Conditioner (450 ml/ S$13.90; 330 ml/ S$10.90)
- L’Oréal Keratin Smooth Perfecting Mask (200 ml/ S$14.90)
- L’Oréal Keratin Smooth Frizz Eraser (100 ml/ S$16.90)
I’ve tried the shampoo and conditioner and was quite amused by how melon-like they smell. The scent isn’t cloying, though; and dissipates after a while. The softening effect is evident and although the products don’t weigh down my hair or leave an obvious silicone-y residue, it does feel like that might happen, if I were to use them for 3 consecutive days. As such, I use them at most every 2 days, alternating with the Watsons Hair Pro Heat Active shampoo and conditioner in-between.
The star of the range is apparently the leave-in anti-frizz serum, Frizz Eraser. Enriched with Thermo-Protect Active, a heat protectant that promises to guard your tresses against the damage of heat styling, this lightweight liquid feels like water.
In Singapore, this haircare range can be found at Watsons, Guardian, leading supermarkets and selected department stores.
