Review | Les Infusions de Prada Eau de Parfum in Mandarine

An olfactory ode to the orange, Prada Infusion de Mandarine presents pulp, pith and peel—a raw yet refined rendition of that fabulous fruit.

The first citrus to join Les Infusions de Prada, it captures the tart-to-sweet nature of citrus, while a bitter whiff calls to mind the rind.

Top notes: Orange Amère, Vert de Mandarine, Mandarine, Graines de Carottes

Heart notes: Lentisque Resinoide, Fleur d’Oranger, Neroli

Base note: Opoponax

A classy citrus with an ethereal touch, this is a scent with subtle layers. Never cloying, its lightness makes it an easy wear on clammy days. It’s not a clinging fragrance but has an airiness that lingers after the initial effervescent spritz; almost like an enveloping invisible mist.

It isn’t as ephemeral as Prada Infusion d’Iris L’Eau d’Iris, and the sultry warmth of opoponax offers gravity to this zesty scent.

Like the bottles in this collection, the flaçon has a vintage vim: it bears the classic Prada heritage crest, inspired by Mario Prada’s original 1913 insignia. The glass and liquid is also tinted by an orange overlay on the bottle base.

In Singapore, this fresh fragrance is available from Escentials and retails at S$220 for 100ml.
