Here’s Bleu Cosmique, the Asia-exclusive lacquer that’s part of the YSL Saharienne Heat Summer 2013 collection.
A blackened teal with turquoise and purple accents, I love how the inkiness gives it a smokey sophistication. Though it looks like an intense teal for the most part, the turquoise shimmer shows up clearly in strong lighting and the purple appears at certain angles, much like a veneer. I suppose you could call this polish subtly complex.
As with the La Laque Couture range in general, it goes on smoothly and evenly; 2 coats is all you need for an opaque finish. It isn’t ultra-glossy on its own but a topcoat takes care of that.
A limited edition piece, this nail lacquer retails at S$35 and is exclusively available at the YSL Beauté boutique at Ion Orchard.
I just added #28 Bronze Metallic to a wishlist post I’m doing on Tuesday. I don’t have any YSL polishes because of the cost but they are beautiful.
Hey Marcia,
They are worth the $ and are great for busy mums because they’re so easy to apply and dry quickly. :) Do take a look at Bronze Pyrite too.
Gorgeous blue Mag, whew thankfully Im not into nail polishes or else I’ll be in a whole lot of trouble.

Trying anyway, haha! :)
It’s so gorgeous! Weird how there isn’t much hype about a beauty like this! Is it Limited Edition?
Hey Sara,
I’ve no idea! It’s very under-the-radar and there’s no news of it online, as well. I shall check the YSL Japan webby (if there’s one). Yes, it’s limited edition – buy, buy! ;)
