I visited the Ettusais counter at BHG (Bishan) on Sunday, in the faint hope of finding a deal on the eyeshadow singles or the empty palette in which those eyeshadows are meant to be placed.
To my great delight, I saw a value pack comprising two Eye Colours, a Wide Compact Case (the palette to pop those eyeshadows in) and a 20 ml bottle of Hyper Eye Make Off (the brand’s eye makeup remover). As each Eye Color costs S$19, this value pack
priced at S$38 essentially offers the palette (usually S$20) and the remover free.I like the
light texture and satin feel of many Ettusais Eye Colours. They also possess a silkiness typical of good Japanese powder eyeshadows. Happily, I could select the colours I wanted. So I eventually decided on Eye Color C in BL3 (a shimmery teal) and Eye Color C in GR4 (a flashing mint)…predictably! ;)Similar to my experience at Kiehl’s, the highlight of the purchase was the excellent customer service I received. I was served by Zahedah, who is actually the beauty advisor at the BHG Clinique counter.
She stood in for her Ettusais colleague who had left for the day and impressed me with her attentiveness and soft-spoken tones. I truly appreciated how she attended to me with utmost politeness and thoughtfulness, making efforts to clean off the makeup on my skin and carefully looking for/packing up my items. Thank you, Zahedah!The experience, together with the unexpectedly good offer, certainly made this a happy Mother’s Day’s haul. :)
