MAC Style Black Promo Photo
I may have seen MAC Style Black in person and swatched most of the collection but this stunning promo photo positively makes me ache for it! Lush black, velvet black, sheer black, berried black…I love them all.
They don’t have to be used straight; black is awesome layered over and under. I love the versatility of this neutral colour and especially look forward to the Style Black lippies – Mattene in Midnight Media and Cremesheen Lipstick in Black Knight – to deepen and in the case of the latter, gloss up my lip colours. Cream Colour Base in Bat Black (I don’t know why but I have a tendency to call it Bat Wing) is the right shade of vamp glam for the eyes; a pretty inky base for smokes. Its hint of burgundy akin to Beauty Marked eye shadow lifts it from the flatness of black and I appreciate that MAC didn’t imbue it with ubiquitous silver shimmer.
I cannot wait for Style Black to arrive. I’ll post once I obtain news of the launch date!
This collection looks tempting!! Black makeup is such a great basic-I love your suggestions for using it in a layered manner! Black is simultaneously "funky" and elegant, and it looks like MAC has captured this duality perfectly!
