Review | MAC Lipglass in Utterly Discrete

A colour counterpart to MAC Frost Lipstick in Intricate, Utterly Discrete (S$28) lives up to its name by being a unique mauve with hints of plum, taupe and silver.

It reminds me of Nico, a thistle-coloured MAC Lipglass from long ago. Like the latter, Utterly Discrete has a mutedness that tones down a lip and at the same time, a glassy glaze that adds shine. It doesn’t have the chunkier glitter of Nico but a subtle pearlescent quality enhanced by its fine multi-coloured shimmer. Still, it appears slightly milky and delivers more sheen than shimmer.

Like Intricate, Utterly Discrete is rather sheer but isn’t as translucent as the former. Wear the two together for more opacity and to bring out the best in each other! :)
