If you missed the waterproof/jet black version of this famous liquid eyeliner, fret no more. Previously released in a limited edition pink packaging, it has come back as a permanent item.
The differences between this liner and the original are as follows:
- The original has a yellow tag on its box, while the waterproof one has a blue one. As with the brand’s Real Lasting Volume Mascara, the blue tag denotes its waterproof quality.
- The original is apparently smudgeproof but the new one is smudgeproof and waterproof.
- The original comes in a more subdued shade of black, while the new one is more intense.
With over 500,00 pieces sold in Japan, the WP version has outsold its predecessor. Cuore, its manufacturer, expected to replace the original with the WP but the sales for the former continue to be healthy. This is attributed to the familiarity of usage, as well as the natural black shade which some prefer to the richer black. As such, both eyeliners will be available to consumers.
They might be back on Watsons’s shelves but their displays are empty in some of the Watsons stores I’ve visited recently, thanks to their popularity. Not to worry though, if you can’t wait for this eyeliner to come back in stock, you can easily purchase it from Beauty Carousel (the e-store offers free local shipping too). ;)
