Simple Flower Body Art

I painted this colourful flower on a friend’s arm last year by mixing and matching a few densely-pigmented MAC Pro Paint Sticks. Her beautiful milk-chocolate Indian skin brilliantly offset the vibrant shades. With its rainbow hues, this flower wouldn’t be out of place in a tropical landscape.

As you might’ve guessed, this little exercise in body painting reminded me of kindergarten (eons ago, for me) and the solid colours of halcyon days. ^_^

    Thank you, Dana.

It could be more refined but the rough quality adds to the feel of yesteryear, I suppose? ;)

    Hey Jo,

I used the Paint Sticks, not the Shadesticks. The SSs are a little too dry for this and you won’t get the same colour pay-off. :) The NYX ones are too emollient to use on their own. You could try setting with pigments though! ;)

    Hi Idaz,

You could try it and set the image with hair-spray to prolong it. ;)
