Formulated for mature/dry skin, The Oriental collection combats accumulated derma-stress by repairing and replenishing the skin. According to Skin79, the range contains adenosine and arbutin to whiten, brighten, smooth wrinkles and improve skin elasticity. In addition, it has caviar which provides intense nourishment, as well as gold extracts which encourage blood circulation.
The allusion to the Orient comes from the key ingredients of green tea, white tea and black tea. Not only do they promise antioxidant qualities, they also boost immunity and reduce skin irritation.
Here are the brand’s descriptions of the five products from the range:
1. The Oriental Gold BB Cream (S$49.90)
Ideal for dry/combination skin that needs whitening and wrinkle improvement, the Oriental Gold BB cream replenishes skin’s much needed moisture and nutrients to keep it baby-smooth and flawless. A multitasker that packs 10 beauty benefits in a jar, this also comes with a lip and cheek cream in dusty rose.
The Oriental Gold BB cream has ten (!) main functions:
- Whitening
- Wrinkle improvement
- UV protection
- Nourishment
- Hydration
- Building skin resilience
- Protection against external aggressions
- Oil control
- Makeup base
- Foundation
This product also cleverly hides a lovely lip and cheek cream in its mirrored cover. The wearable pink will suit many skin tones.
2. The Oriental Shimmering BB Cream (S$35.90)
Packaged in a tube with an all-in-one brush, this pearlised BB cream delivers a party-ready, shimmery finish in a flash. It adds a healthy glow to mature skin that may be dull or damaged, is easy to use, and is portable for quick touch-ups any time, anywhere.
I really like that the brush is detachable and can be washed. Although the shimmer might be a tad OTT for everyday use, the colour tone is wonderful for Asian skin.
3. The Oriental Smooth Sun BB Pact (S$35.90)
Designed for use after The Oriental Gold BB Cream, this compact powder delivers a natural, fresh finish, helps makeup stay on longer, and keeps that oily mid-day shine at bay. It also protects skin against harmful sun rays with SPF 25++.
4. The Oriental Lifting Eye Controller (S$26.90)
Intensely nourishing and moisturising, this eye cream keeps the skin around your eyes firm and wrinkle-free – a vital sign of youth in any culture. It also has a handy applicator tip that delivers the formula right onto the delicate eye area. Suitable for all skin types.
5. The Oriental Total Power Cream (S$32.90)
If you have dry skin that needs an industry-strength moisture surge, look no further. The Total Power Cream contains proteins, amino acids and antioxidants to not only provide key nutrients, but keep skin hydrated all day long. Wrinkles are also kept at bay with this Total Power Cream.
This range is exclusively available at Watsons stores across the island. Look out for a special The Oriental offer coming soon in July 2010! ;)

Hey makeupstash
i have used hotpink and gold BB and found the shade to be too dark for me. i am around NC 20. i am interested to try this oriental range after hearing from you here and i wonder if the shade is lighter, darker or the same as the hotpink/gold BB cream? this oriental range looks good for my dry skin :)
thanks babe!
Hi Tiffany,
I believe the shade is about the same. You could try it out at Watsons. :)
The Oriental Shimmering BB Cream (S$35.90)
Does this The Oriental Shimmering BB Cream (S$35.90)
suitable for oily skin like me?
Hi Jeslyn,
This range is more moist and the shimmer will make your face look oilier. Take a look at the Hot Pink series; that’s suited to oily skin. :)
