MAC Haute & Naughty Lash is now available at MAC Tangs Orchard. Retailing at S$30, this 2-in-1 mascara allows you to create two different kinds of lash looks.
According to MAC, this new mascara is:
A two-in-one mascara that lets you choose if you want lashes to be naturally defined, or instantly combed and loaded for full-on drama. Easy to use dual-wiper system allows this lightweight formula to go on either way. One wiper refines the application for a clean sweep, while the other loads the lashes for greater impact.
In case you’re confused (I was, at first!), there is only one brush but there are two wands: a large one (with a purple sparkly handle) and a thin one (with a hot pink handle) that resides in the hollow of the former. The fatter wand rests in the black mascara tube which coats the brush with plush black pigments for full, voluminous lashes. However, when you remove the thinner wand using the hot pink handle, the brush passes through the tube of the larger wand, grazing against the mouth of the tube to clean off the brush – you can see the residue from the photo above – to impart more defined, separated lashes. As you can also tell from the photo, removing the purple wand means the pink wand will still be on top of it but the latter can be removed on its own.
I wouldn’t recommend playing around with it too much (pumping, removing the wand for fun) because the mascara will catch on the smaller opening and get all over the mouth of the mascara tube when you try to put it back. You’ve been warned; use it with care! This mascara/lash separation technology is quite nifty, yes? Thankfully, this product will be part of the permanent collection. It only comes in black though (for now?).
Bourjois also has a similar version, Mascara Volumizer (S$26), which you may want to try.
