A Gift! – The Body Shop The Sparkler All Over Shimmer

I recently received this shimmer atomiser as a gift from a media friend. Part of The Body Shop’s Christmas 2010 collection, The Sparkler (S$39.90) is a shimmer powder encased in a frosted glass bottle with a retro atomiser puff.

The shimmer dust is unusual enough for me to be excited about it – unlike many powder shimmer products in the market, it manages to combine fineness of texture with twinkly glow. I also like its ‘boudoir pink’ shade – a silvered pink – which is a refreshing change from the plethora of gold highlighters available in the market. The spray of fine glimmering powder made me think ‘faerie dust’! To find out more about The Sparkler, do read Iris’s excellent review of this beautiful product.

I got this as a gift from my colleague as well… Super excited to use it for my christmas gathering. Thanks

Thanks for reminding me to pick this up before it sold out! I’ve been having a spate of big Homer Simpson-esque “DOH!!” moments, like with this Sparkler when I pumped it twice without removing the cap, only to shower myself and an entire tray of makeup products in the sparkly powder when I took off the cap. Nevertheless, I still love the extra fine powder which gives a lovely subtle glimmer without being too over the top.

      Hello Iris!

I really like the fineness of the powder (so many shimmer powders have bigger particles), as well as the frosted bottle. :) Lol! – I’ve done similar for other beauty products, so you’re not alone in your makeup foibles. ;)

  • I loved this! The glass bottle with a atomiser puff is astonishing!
Mag, I was very upset because I coudn’t enter my name on the ‘Makeup Stash! Christmas 2010 Giveaways!’, there’s a lot of things that I want soo much :(

    kisses from Brasil :)

I was lucky enough to nab the last one at The Body Shop. Now I can’t decide whether to gift it as intended or greedily keep it for myself!
