New from Koji Dolly Wink are a waterproof voluminising mascara, four eyeshadow palettes and two cream shadows. Besides the striking colours of the shadow compacts, what caught my attention was the fact that all these products are available at selected Watsons stores only during March 2011.
They’re apparently so popular and limited in quantity that Japan was able to allocate just enough stock to Singapore for one month. I was quite astounded by this news, to say the least. :P
A friend revealed that Dolly Wink Volume Mascara in Black (8g/S$29.90) is comparable to – if not better than – the Heroine Make mascaras. Like the latter, this new waterproof mascara contains ingredients that condition and protect the lashes.
I haven’t swatched the new eyeshadow palettes but I look forward to seeing them at Watsons. The salmon shade in 02, together with the bright hues in 03 and 04, is a departure from the safe colours Japanese drugstore brands tend to put out and this is much welcomed by me. I love the pops of brights!
This range of shadows includes:
- Dolly Wink Eye Shadow in Brown 01 (4g/S$32.90)
- Dolly Wink Eye Shadow in Gray Pink 02 (4g/S$32.90)
- Dolly Wink Eye Shadow in Blue Orange 03 (4g/S$32.90)
- Dolly Wink Eye Shadow in Green Pink 04 (4g/S$32.90)
To make the colours pop even more, you can layer them over the new cream shadows: Dolly Wink Cream Eye Shadow Gold 01 (3g/S$19.90) and Dolly Wink Cream Eye Shadow Crystal 02 (3g/S$19.90). These can be used alone or as shimmery shadow bases. I’m not sure if they’d crease, though. Again, I look forward to swatching these at Watsons!
