If you have a weakness for pink blushes like I do, you might want to keep an eye out for YSL Palette Parisian Nite in Rue de Babylone.
I’d mistakenly called it ‘Babylove’ on Instagram but it sure sounds apt for the blush! ♥
A satin strawberry pink heart ensconced within a matte candy pink base, this pretty cheek colour duo is a limited edition Asia-exclusive palette for Holiday 2013.
Here are swatches of the palette, as well as those of a few popular pink blushes. It looks a little different in the photo above (I’d used a different camera) but the swatches are true to life.
From left to right: YSL Rue de Babylone (base), YSL Rue de Babylone (heart), Dior Rosy Glow Healthy Glow Awakening Blush in 001 Petal, Burberry Light Glow Natural Blush in Peony No. 4, MAC Satin Blush in Well Dressed.
I haven’t tried it extensively yet so this isn’t a full review but from the swatches, it is evident that the blush colours are smooth and complementary.
I’m particularly enamoured of the casing with its text logo motif and the contrasting raspberry pink heart. It’s a stylish change from the brand’s usual plain gold packaging.
I don’t have its price yet but I’m guessing it will be the same as that of YSL Beauté Boréal Palette in Polar Light (S$70). Incidentally, the blush will work nicely with that highlighter. ;)
In Singapore, this palette will be available from November 2013.
