The result of a collaboration with contemporary designer Ora-ïto,  Fred Farrugia‘s new makeup range marries beauty with function. Its ingenious packaging design allows you to encapsulate your makeup favourites in one expandable system which comprises stackable magnetic palettes that swivel open on the same axis. Already available at Sephora France, this collection has since arrived on our sunny shores and can be found at Sephora Ion.

Fred Faruggia, who hails from France, was not only the artistic director of Lancôme for close to a decade, he is known for being ‘an innate colorist and lover of materials’ who excels in beauty product development.

I love the pragmatic yet aesthetic concept. Cleverly contemporary, Sephora Singapore calls the system  a ‘makeup iPod’, no doubt alluding to its portable nature and and stylish appearance.

Made in France, the extensive range contains a variety of shades, finishes and textures with which you can customise your set. Saturated hues, shimmers, mattes, satins are available, as well as creams, powders and glosses. I appreciate that care was put into availing us of these choices. Best of all, most of the products perform well. I am particularly impressed with the silky matte eyeshadows that impart rich colour and blend beautifully.

Your makeup repertoire can be effortlessly completed with the comprehensive collection – you are spoiled for choice in eyeliners, eyeshadows, lipsticks, lipglosses, foundations, concealers and even a mascara cake. Each mini palette, known as a module, can be easily stacked to minimise product clutter and the convenience this modular system affords is remarkable.
