Revlon Highlighting Face Powder in Pure Confection

Revlon Pure Confection Highlighting Face Powder

A veritable dupe of MAC Lightscapade and Etude House Marbleade #3, Revlon Pure Confection Highlighting Face Powder made my heart skip a beat with its medley of colours that seem to eddy in the light.

Revlon Pure Confection Highlighting Face Powder Label

Smaller than a MAC MSF but with a friendlier price tag (US$8.99 at US drugstores; less with BOGO and other offers), this highlighting powder caught my eye when I first saw it online. Needless to say, I immediately requested a CP and thankfully, was able to obtain it.

Revlon Pure Confection Highlighting Face Powder Swatch

The swatch may seem frostier than the other two highlighters but this was a heavy swipe. Nonetheless, it is quite pigmented and a light-handed touch is all you need to get a beautiful glow. :) The reviews on Makeup Alley are mostly positive and like one of the reviewers, I love that this product is of a neutral shade, being neither overtly cool nor warm.

With a name that is reminiscent of a sugary treat, this highlighter cake offers a sweet dusting of goodness. It is certainly one of the best beauty purchases of the year for me. Special thanks to the dear friend who helped me find this after trawling the stores. *Huggies!*

I’m definitely going to go trawling for this too! I love the look of it and the price tag too! It’s so pretty, it kind of reminds me of an Easter egg.

      Hi Sarita!

It is beautiful and you’re right, it looks like an Easter egg. :) It is compact and functional too; a steal at that price and less (I read about someone getting it for US$2)!

It looks so much more sparkly than the MAC one. I know though that you miss Lightscapade so I’m glad you found an alternative.

      Hi Marcia,

This is definitely frostier than the rest (but still oh so pretty!). I’m loving all these Lightscapade dupes but the closest to it is NYX Mosaic Powder Blush in 1 Highlighter because it isn’t as sparkly. :)

I need to try this! When I bought it for you, I had a hard time not opening it myself lol-the name is great, and it is descriptive of the shade, just so pretty!!

Aww! Thanks so much for this lovely CP, Katie. This product is so aesthetically-pleasing. The best thing? It doesn’t lose its beauty with continued use (deeper layers reveal more swirls!).
