Makeup Stash!

When I tweeted about the recent Dior sale, I had no idea that there would be makeup mayhem, thanks to the incredible offers at the event. According to a friend who was at Great World City where the sale was held, the queues were snaking and the space was swarming with women hoping to snag a good Dior deal.

I wasn’t able to attend but another friend, Kas, was there and offered to purchase some lovelies for me. With the help of Iris who called me to tell me what was available, I was able to score four (yes, FOUR!) delectable eyeshadow palettes – Dior’s famous 5 Coleurs Iridescent Palette/5-Colour Iridescent Eyeshadow, also affectionately known as the Dior eyeshadow quints. Originally S$80+ to S$90+, these shadow compacts were a mere S$35 each. A deal impossible for me to pass up, especially considering that I owned only one quint (the gorgeous 259 Electric Lights) prior to this. Unlike the quints of old, these are pigmented, smooth and so pretty in their complementary colour combinations. Resistance = futile!

I am truly lucky – I’d looked at a couple and was sorely tempted at the counter when they were first launched but somehow I was able to overcome the makeup lust…to snag them at a reduced price, thanks to my fabulous beauty partners in crime! ♥
