Lovelies on the Loose | 2009 – 2010
Also known as ‘I Scare Myself’ 
I did this once last year, hoping to make it a regular thing but life got away with me, so I never kept it up. I did continue to keep the cases and boxes and this is the result – two years’ worth of beauty packaging! Granted some of these belonged to items in my kit but still, it was quite a shock seeing everything laid out on the bed. Reminders of beauty joy, I had a nice time sorting through them prior to taking this photo…which lives up to the name of this blog, doesn’t it? 
This heap has since gone to the recycling bin – hurray for decluttering!

Oh, this is such fun to look at!!! It’s human nature at its most heightened, isn’t it – getting a peek at what others have stashed (ok, a little pun intended) in their vanities….I’d probably scare myself too if I look at all the pretty packaging that I’ve collected over time – I have such a hard time letting go of the LE packaging, especially.

I meant for this to be a monthly thing, then a tri-monthly thing…but I never found the time to do it properly, so I eventually accumulated everything! I’ve kept a couple of boxes because they are so pretty but they’ve mostly ended up in the recycling bin.

Sometimes I feel bad throwing the boxes away, some of the packaging are too lovely to end up with in the dump.

I am actually relieved at the amount of space I’ve freed up. I might do this on a monthly or tri-monthly basis but I doubt I’d be able to make this a yearly thing, no thanks to my need for space!
