MAC Packed to Go: 6 Warm Smoky Eyeshadows

March 10, 2011

MAC Packed to Go: 6 Warm Smoky Eyeshadows is an eye shadow palette filled with six versatile colours for intense or neutral eye looks.

Inside this compact shadow case are MAC Eye Shadows in:

  • Shroom – Soft beige with shimmer (Satin)
  • Naked Lunch – Minimal pink with shimmer (Lustre)
  • Tempting – Sinfully rich coco (Lustre)
  • Greensmoke – Tarnished olive (Frost)
  • Stormy Love – Metallic hunter green (Lustre)
  • Showstopper – Deep blackened brown (Matte)

This palette stole my heart with its medley of complex smokey colours and useful neutral shades. I’m particularly impressed with the Lustres in this palette – they don’t behave like regular Lustres with sparkly fallout; instead, their pigmented quality and uniformity of application are similar to that of the Veluxe Pearl formulation.

Stormy Love (second from the right in the photo above) is my favourite shade of the six. A green with plummy undertones, it reminded me instantly of the duo-chromed MAC Eye Shadow in Club (a plum brown with green undertones).

Available at Changi Airport and downtown duty-free stores, this nifty kit retails at S$65. Measuring 6.5 x 6.5 cm, I was a little surprised by its size when I received it from MAC Travel Retail. However, the pans contain more than enough product for many uses and it is an extremely portable size for travel. The case, whose exterior has an iridescent shimmer that twinkles under the light (think a tamer version of MAC Prep+Prime packaging), has a little heft to it too.

Its most attractive feature, though, is the fact that it will create quite a number of interesting eyeshadow looks, thanks to its special combination of hues. :)

      Hi T,

I believe the DFS at Scotts should carry this.

      Hi Y,

It’d be difficult to do this just by writing about it; if you’re really interested, I do hold one-to-one makeup workshops. :)
