Agnès B. Beauté B. Yourself! Makeup Set Travel Exclusive

By

I was pleasantly surprised when this Agnès B. makeup pouch landed on my doorstep – I didn’t think that the makeup from this French fashion brand would ever make its way to Singapore.

According to the press release I received, Agnès B. Beauté created this set to mark its entry here. Unfortunately, it is currently only available at Changi Airport.

In the kit are:

  • Contour Haute Def! Eyeliner in Black – A black angled eyeliner that promises to stay on for 12 hours.

Made in Germany, this pencil has an interesting tube with a slightly wider-than-usual rim.

I haven’t tested its claims to last but it did swatch decently (no skipping).

  • Palette B. Perfect! Eyeshadow Trio in Pearl Harmony – A clear compact of three eyeshadows: a golden beige, an orange gold and a chocolate brown.

Made in China, these shimmery shadows have decent pigmentation.

I like how they swatch well and blend easily.

  • B. Glossy! Stick Shimmering Lipstick in Framboise Glossy – A silky lipstick in a pleasant coral pink.

Made in China, this lipstick has no discernible scent.

I like its glide and soft shine.

  • Agnes B.B. Cream – Made in France, this 6-in-1 tinted cream promises to impart firmness and radiance to the skin.

It has the grey tone associated with most BB creams.

The shade adjusts over time but it veers slightly more pink-toned than yellow.

This makeup set retails at S$80.50 and is worth more than a look, given that you’re getting 5 products for that price. The black liner is a basic item, while the lip and eye shades work wonderfully with each another, thanks to their complementary tones. The only iffy item in the set is the BB cream which is harder to match.

Do note that it can only be found at the main Nuance-Watson Perfumes & Cosmetics stores at Terminals 1 and 2 of Changi Airport, after immigration.

      Hey Milktea,

A nice play on the name. :) It seems more Korean BB cream than the Japanese yellow-toned ones.

Hi! I like the fact that you mentioned that the shadows are made in China. :D I’ve never been a fan of eyeshadows and now that I’m starting to learn the application of eyeshadows, I’ve bought quite a number of cheap ones, made in China to be precise. :)

Have you by any chance stumbled upon the brand Baxi? Yes, it’s from China. :D

      Hi Jenny,

I’ve never seen Baxi but I do like the 120 Manly palette that’s also made in China. :)

      Hi Jamilla,

I used to own a teal shadow from AB but I sold it. I still can’t remember why, though! :P

This seems very pretty and the set looks nicely put together. However I don’t like it when brands try to save costs and manufacture their cosmetic items in China. Will not purchase just for that reason.

      Hi Em,

L’Oreal, which produces Agnes B Beaute, manufactures several products in China. I know my mum misses the formula of some of the skincare that used to be made in France.

Your review is the first of Agnes B that I’ve seen around here. I saw these items when I was in France this year but didn’t think much of them cos I never really saw anyone talking about them online. Maybe now it’s time I try!

      Hi Roxanne,

Makeup from Agnes B has been around for ages. I gave away (sold?) a teal shadow by the brand and regret it now, haha!

      Hi Stacey,

Only the shadows and the lipstick are made in China. The pencil is made in Germany and the BB cream in France. :) Hope you like it!
