I was beauty-gazing at Sephora Ngee Ann City with Iris when we spotted the Urban Decay Lip Junkies. I swatched Lip Junkie in Perversion once and couldn’t stop thinking about it, so I purchased it at Sephora Ion on my way home from work!
This lipgloss (10 ml/S$32) is described as ‘sheer black sparkle’ but it really swatches a blackened grape and is a cool-toned plum on my lips. Infused with multi-coloured shimmer (I especially love the teal and purple sparkles that twinkle prettily under the light), it also has a sweet tingly mint that reminds me of the peppermint of Urban Decay XXX Shine Gloss, only with a faint liquorice after-whiff.
So what do I like about this lip gloss?
- The squeeze tube packaging eliminates desperate digging with an applicator and the slanted tip easily spreads the product. It actually reminds me of the Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss tube, only longer and wider.
- Despite its dirty hue, this unique shade actually brightens up my complexion. In the photo above, I only have La Clarée Oliv’ Radiance Elixir and Perversion on my face.
- With its complex multi-faceted shimmer suspended in a deep base, this lipgloss reminds me of OPI My Private Jet which I love.
A quick check with my Sephora MA confirmed that the Lip Junkies are new to Singapore, just as sharp-eyed Iris suspected. ;)
